Fattoria Tabacchi was founded in 1911, and has since become the most important concessionaire in Upper Umbria and a point of reference for those dedicated to tobacco cultivation. Currently, the members of Fattoria Tabacchi produce approximately 6.0 million kg of Virginia Bright on approximately 1,950 hectares. In the 1970s, the reorganization of the production process materialized with the construction of shared structures capable of receiving the entire production of its members.

For this reason, 18 Service Units were built, with a total of 664 dryers. These Units cover the Umbrian territory over a large part of the province of Perugia and, partially, over that of Arezzo. In addition to the structures for tobacco curing, the cooperative provides its members with a specific machine park and anticipates the technical means required by the crop. Furthermore, the cooperative, with its technicians, assists growers in managing the agricultural phase and in the tobacco curing phase.
