Traceability
Traceability
A traceability system has been implemented that allows each box of leaf tobacco to be traced back to the oven used for curing and to the plot of origin in order to eliminate any sources of pollution.
For each box of processed product, it is possible to trace the boxes that made up the mixture and, therefore, the relative producers and plots of origin.
TAGS MANAGEMENT AND TRACEABILITY
The labels to be placed on the boxes of tobacco produced on the farm must be promptly attached as soon as the boxes are filled and before handling. If boxes with labels from the previous year are used, the new ones must overlap the old ones. Tobacco boxes that arrive for inspection without labels may be rejected by the unloading, feeding and classification staff.
The labels are pre-printed and have the following data: company details, year of cultivation, varieties grown, progressive number, barcode and a space where the date of tobacco curing must be written.
Within 48 hours of the end of the treatment, the company technicians or the companies directly must communicate the exact number of boxes produced.
